As the summer travel season approaches, Frontier Airlines has exciting news for travelers seeking low-cost flight options. The airline has recently announced the launch of 17 new routes, opening up opportunities to explore various markets, including a new service to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With staggered start dates between May 2 and May 25, these new routes are set to enhance Frontier’s network and provide travelers with more choices than ever before.
The most significant expansion is slated for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), where Frontier will introduce new services to several destinations. These include Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR) in Grand Rapids, Michigan; Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) on Long Island, New York; Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Virginia; and Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) in New York state. These routes will operate three times a week, offering travelers convenient access to diverse destinations.
Frontier will also launch services from Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) to Denver International Airport (DEN) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) several times a week, facilitating seamless travel connections for passengers. For those yearning to explore the picturesque U.S. Virgin Islands, Frontier will introduce a new weekly service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and St. Croix’s Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX), subject to government approval.
Additionally, Frontier will begin a new service connecting Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) three times a week, starting May 16. This route expansion reflects the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and accessibility for travelers across the United States.
Frontier Airlines’ Vice President of Network and Operations Design, Josh Flyr, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to providing affordable travel options. “Increasing the number of cities with an ultra-low fare option helps ensure even more consumers can take to the skies this year to visit friends and family or experience a new destination on their travel wish list,” Flyr stated.
To celebrate the launch of these new routes, Frontier is offering introductory tickets starting at just $19 one-way. The fare sale, available until 11:59 pm EST on March 1, offers travelers an unbeatable opportunity to explore exciting destinations at affordable prices. However, it’s essential to note that the fare sale has certain restrictions and blackout dates, including eligibility only on flights operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Saturdays.
