Moritz Grossmann’s latest masterpiece, the Tourbillon Tremblage, merges historical techniques with modern innovations. With meticulous attention to detail and the highest standards of craftsmanship, this grand complication timepiece embodies luxury and precision.

Available in limited editions of eight pieces each in pink and white gold, the Tourbillon Tremblage is a testament to the brand’s commitment to excellence. Every component is meticulously finished, showcasing both technical prowess and artistic flair.

At the forefront of this timepiece is its dial, which showcases the ancient technique of tremblage. By manually engraving the surface with trembling motions using various burins, artisans achieve a textured effect that is both rough and matte. The dial is then galvanized in Moritz Grossmann’s signature ‘black-or,’ lending it a distinctive anthracite hue.

The centerpiece of the dial is the flying tourbillon, positioned at 6 o’clock, surrounded by off-center hour and second displays at 3 and 9 o’clock respectively. Crafted from gold in the pink gold version and polished steel in the white gold version, the hands are delicately tapered, with the minute hand extended beyond the center to precisely indicate minutes 25 to 35—a patented feature unique to Moritz Grossmann.

The tourbillon itself is a marvel of engineering, featuring a generously sized oscillator mounted on one side—a nod to the inventor of the flying tourbillon, Alfred Helwig. Unlike traditional tourbillons that rotate once a minute, the Moritz Grossmann construction takes a leisurely three minutes, showcasing a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

One of the most remarkable features of the tourbillon is its stop device, designed to halt the balance without interrupting its movement. Utilizing an elastic brush made of human hair, the device gently slows the balance down without interfering with the frame pillars—a patented solution that underscores Moritz Grossmann’s dedication to precision.

The dedication to craftsmanship extends to the decoration stage, where each component is individually finished by hand. From hand-engraved Glashütte ribbing to beveled edges and three-band snailing, every detail is meticulously executed, culminating in a timepiece of unparalleled beauty and precision.

The Moritz Grossmann Tourbillon Tremblage is available with a brown alligator leather strap for the pink gold edition and a black alligator leather strap for the white gold version. Priced at approximately $254,000 USD, it represents the pinnacle of watchmaking excellence—a fusion of tradition, innovation, and uncompromising quality.
